The client's opinion

Katie Saunders, Pop & Grey
What went into choosing the developer you would work with?
“I have been working with developers for my website designs for the past 8 years. I’ve been through plenty of them, and I am really picky. It’s important to me to use someone that is committed to making it work and not someone that tries something and then says it just can’t be done or needs to modified from the original design. I also want to work with a developer who is process-oriented and a great communicator but also flexible. Every project is different, and I appreciate developers that are open to trying different things and potentially veering from their process when it makes sense for the project. It’s also really important to me to use someone who creates a clean site without tons of plugins and pays attention to little details on the backend to make it as tidy as possible. I also like working with people who are responsive and efficient.”
How did your client respond to the finished product?
“Alice loves her website. She loved our responsiveness throughout the whole process and was blown away with the end result. She said she’s already seen lots more traffic due to the new design and is very happy.”
How did it make you feel to outsource the coding so you could focus on the design?
“I’ve been doing it this way for years, but it’s an awesome feeling to be able to focus on what I’m really good at and know that person doing the coding is in their zone of genius.”
Would you recommend me to someone else? Why or why not?
“Absolutely. You did a great job, and I loved your easy, transparent process through Asana. I’m a sucker for a timeline with firm due dates and people who stick to what they say they’ll do. In the creative world, that isn’t always easy to find.”
